the wire connected to the cht has a resistor looking thing(mini hotdog) that it connects onto, in line. is this "hotdog" neccesary. if so, where can i find it? - the wire is broken at the end of the hot dog.

thanks. kev.

..that thing is a brown protective thingy, over the paddle connector..

Use good shrink wrap, after you terminate a nice clean end on that wire, then zip tie the wire to anything that holds it off of the tin, and jiggly hot intake crap.

Dont listen to Miles...he thinks people actually listen to him.... wink.gif

You must have a 73 2.0.

Its a ballast resistor, and yes you need it. Your car should not run of the CHT is disconnected (it will be too rich).

Its 270 ohm resistor. I may have n OEM one in my stash to offer, but you can replace it with another resistor of equal value...not sure of the wattage rating it may need.

You can buy a 270 ohm resistor at Radio Shack for $1.99 and install spadeconnectors on it. Put some shrink tubing on it and then do what Miles said to keep it from bouncing around.......

This is only for 73 2.0l engines with matching ECU and 037 MPS's. clap.gif
