This puppy was at least 24" in diameter and exhaust appeared to be 5"+.

It's about 75 years old and is connected to this air-cooled power plant

B17-G if I recall, circa 1944. Each of those powerplants put out about 2500hp.

Got to tour one of these about 20 yrs ago.

Or maybe an F. They both had that extra chin gun. What an impressive plane. Can you imagine the sky filled with those in 43. Must have been an unbelievable site. beerchug.gif
