914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Installing reproduction rocker panels

Posted by: buck toenges May 19 2018, 08:59 PM

Are there suppose to be holes on both ends of the rocker panels for bolts and rubber bushing to connect the front of the rear fender and the back of the front fender? The reproduction rocker panels don't have them. I figure that it is better to drill them into the rockers when you fit them but I am not sure.

Thanks,
Buck

Glass or steel? I recently installed a set of fiberglass and needed to drill for the end attach bolts. beerchug.gif

I also have a set of fibreglass rocker panels to install - would love to see a picture or two of the fixings you have..... smile.gif

Mount the rockers so the fender openings match up, then you can use the fender to see where to drill for the attachment. If you have flares, you just need to pick a spot that’s handy. There is a small spacer between the body and the rocker panel as well.
