Was it the 924 with a wiper switch that would work on a 914 that was electrical?

That will work. But the best one is from the latest super beattle. They have support for electric pump.

Just to be clear, neither of those will work on an early 914 which had the wiper switch on the dash ...

I have a 1975. Do you have a part number for that, or a link to one, so I'm sure of getting the correct thing.

Sir Andy, have you got a pic of an early dash-mounted wiper switch? Not sure I've ever seen one of those.

1975-76 wiper switch is unique. It has a lower cut plastic ring than the earlier versions. It was sourced from the VW Rabbit. Real hard item to find.

The extra wire is for an electric pump, if you want it. If not, the air pressure valve works as well.
You will see 4 and 6 wires variants. The 4 Wire doesn't support the intermittent relay.

No. None of the original 914 wiper switches were designed to work with an electric pump.

I just got to use my switch coupled to the “99” relay from vw. You push the lever down and then back up, and then when it is time for another sweep push down agai. After that it remembers the interval. Pull back and you get washer fluid plus a couple sweeps. You need to add an additional relay, but it sure is slick.

Getting a bit ahead of myself at this point, but the mechanics Wife left me a note, saying the wiper switch showed up today, and is wrong. So I'll have to call him tomorrow and see what the problem is this time?

Wasn't this the switch that was suppose to work on a 75?

You can add in another wire to the contact and make the washer work through a relay,pretty sure that's what I did.....memories hopeless
