914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Tranny shifter bushings

Hello guys and gals,

I ordered the bushing kit for the tail shift tranny for my 1971 914 1.7L and think I have read all the posts on here and Pelican Parts about installing them. Before I dive in, is there anything that I should be watching for or doing to make sure this is done correctly. I am not really much of a mechanic but am looking forward to doing some of my own work.

I am thanking you in advance

Cheers!

Make a mark on the shift rods that connect in the tunnel and are accessed in the tunnel area between the seats so when you put it back together, you can line it up the same way it came out.

Great idea, that is exactly what I was looking for. Easy suggestions to make things faster, better and still correct
