Can someone please help me out and tell me what size fuel line connects here. (See pic) the braded one attached does not seem to work and leaks gas after the clamp is tightened. It seem the fuel pressure caused it to leak when car is started. I’ve look at many parts web sites and there are numerous sizes, don’t know which size is correct.
Thanks in advance!

Trying to get the orientation of the picture. Looks like your attaching at the fuel rail.
If it hasn't been tinkered with, that should be 8mm / 5/16ths.
PLEASE get rid of ALL your cloth woven fuel lines. I don't want to see another 914 burning. Cloth covered air lines are fine, but not fuel lines.
The old lines are not for use with Ethanol fuels, and they break down quickly. Becasue they are cloth covered, you can't see the cracks forming or the fuel starting to weep. Get new fuel line in 5/16ths that is good for ethanol and fuel injection. Its a small cost and a weekend of labor that could save your 914 from burning down.

Engine bay is most important, but don't forget the lines under the fuel tank.
Can't stress this enough. My neighbor lost his M3 on one of the first drives after restoration because he used improper fuel lines and clamps. Burned it to the ground at the end of our street going for a tuning drive.

should be 7mm id with the appropriate clamp 12. Use like the previous comment made smooth high pressure fuel line
Thank you everyone for your input, much appreciated!!
