Why does the idle drop by about 250 RPM after the engine warms up? The car is a "73 1.7. Thank you.
Adjust idle after it's warmed up
What is the RPM after the drop?
And to answer the question about "why," IIRC it is because when the engine is cold, the auxiliary air valve is open to let more air in and idle the engine faster. After it warms up, the valve closes and the idle settles to what you want it set to. It has been decades since I've messed with D-jetronic so I'm sure someone can verify or correct this.
closed points, turned in idle screw, leaking pressure sensor, missing on a cylinder etc. An easy one to solve
