The charcoal canister mounts in that hole inside the engine compartment.

i'll stand the roof clamps up tomorrow and put a rubber bung in the canister hole tomorrow.

These are left and right side specific parts. The roof slot angles downward toward the outboard side...marked L and R (IIRC)
