I sold my very first 914 back in the late 90s.
It was an Olympic blue 1973 1.7. The Washington state license plate (transferable, as I understand it) was simply "914".
Is my first 914 still around? It would be nice to know it has a good home.

You and I are on a very similar quest....best of luck with yours!
Do you still have the VIN? You can run it through the VIN Database:

Now why didn't I think of that?
and I found my baby. No longer in Washington, but has moved to Texas.
Someone treated her very badly.

Thanks for the offer Clay. I've reached out to the owner to offer them the pictures and info I have on file for the car.
