After agonizing over removing the seal sealer I finally jumped in. I ended buying a pneumatic scraper that I really didn't think would work. HF for $29.
Wow! after only 10 minutes with the scraper one shock tower looked like this.
Then I used a heat gun for the residual and was finished with that in 30 minutes. A small flathead worked best. I then used a conditioning disc to clean it up and the pass side now looks like this.
A coat of Picklex 20 and done for today.
Another good approach.
Nice work!
That's the same method I used and it does work pretty well, but the cheap POS Harbor Freight scraper broke before I was done. Wen't back to heat and putty knife for the last bit that was left.
