Happy New Year Teener's! I plan on having a Early Spring Gathering at the Automotive Driving Museum March 16th - Saturday. The last event was a good turn out and owners have contacted me to possibly organize 2 events this year. I know March is busy with several events but i think it's worth trying. The layout will be different this time around and eliminating the back lot for Swap meet area. The side lot to the museum on the street side will be the new Swap Area.
Let's get a who's attending line up here on this post and let's all have fun!
This event is opened to all air cooled Porsche's.
More information will follow shortly.
Dave
The date is set and flyer is ready. Ok, Good to go! Date will be Saturday March 16 and all cost will go to the Museum.

My daughter’s bday but maybe I can still join in the morning. Oh and no 914 yet to drive there.
I will make an effort to get there with 914R!
It's not starting/running at the moment which is rare for this car...always a project but never has not started...
Looking forward to seeing you there, Don!
I plan on being there. Looking forward to it. should be fully back on the road in the next week or two.
Taking a little longer. to put everything back in, but will definetely be ready for the show.
Thank you very much Matchbox 914.....basically my two weaknesses....I've got the one now I need to find the other ....

Hey Matchbox.....I am thrilled to see that my new girlfriend actually exists!! A woman that loves to power tan and loves 914's. Is that asking too much? I will pay for everything else....just lie there on my car (lounge chair preferred) and look pretty....a few miles on the road and then back to my place.....perfect!!

Don't mean to be "that guy", but I'd like to follow this thread for the car show, but I'll have to remove the notifications if the random posts don't stop. Can we move these to the sandbox?
Somebody said sandbox?
Let's (get together and) celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 914 - even if Porsche isn't (at least not enough)! [attachmentid=684801][attachmentid=684810]
Looking for this badge used if anyone has one. Please bring your for sale badges to the gathering.
Almost in my back yard ... gonna try to make it to this one (without a 914 again of course)
Has anyone decided a time and location to meet up to go there from Orange County?
Will be there.
Can't wait !
My car has been in hiding due to no time to play and crappy weather.

Did someone say Aircooled?
Looking forward to it, with this Party Crasher!
Been fighting the flu ever since Wednesday. Have fun everyone and share some pictures please.
Great Meet-up today at the Driving Museum, El Segundo.
Foreground is Mattylite 1974 2.0 T4 hot rod, background #9 Shell car is Damon's.
Does anybody know the owner of the number 9 shell car? I’ve seen that around in Long Beach. Is this a 914world member car? Dang sorry I missed this event.
31 914s! How many was oscars?
The 9's, the Shell car is Damon's and local to the area...he visits here on World occasionally
We also use the same graphic guy that applied the Shell themed wrap on his 914, local shop in the SF valley.
Larmo (Lawrence) 9146/ 2.4 (Left) and has the rare factory vinyl wrapped A-pillar
Andys (Andy) awesome yellow 9146gt (Right) . Those 3 guys must be the Pep Boyz Great meeting up with you Lawrence and Andy this morning, and for photo-bombing your 914s !!
some more cars from today
Smore more
...inspection of Larmo's MSDS exhaust headers (every 2 years); if ceramic coating appears clean , I buy him tacos. If appears dirty, he buys me tacos
Great to see everyone out there today and to meet some new people.
Was really looking forward to attending as a first distant run, unfortunately my car is still in my garage, good weather I’ve gotta stop these upgrade changes.
It was great to see everyone today.
We woke up late, so I got there late ... maybe 10:30 ~11:00 ... looks like I missed seeing some of y'all.
Other than a swap meet or two, I think it was the first automotive gathering I've attended since mid-2015, so it was nice to see a lot of running specimens. I guess I've been out of the loop too long though - only recognized several of the old guys
It did provide a little more inspiration for getting a car ready before any of the 2020 50-year anniversary events.
I stopped by to see George at European Motor Works on the way home and to get an invoice from him for the new parts and machine work they've done for my 1911 motor. Just need schedule some 'spare time' to assemble it all, then install the all new drive train in the car.
Second show and it seems to have gotten a bit bigger. Around 35 914's and a dozen or more various Porsche cars and vintage air cooled classics.
I think Dave is planning on doing more shows, so spread the word and lets get even more cars. It is a great place to do a gathering.
I think we need to make it mandatory for everyone to do a drive by because these cars sound so good !
I posted soeme pics on Instagram under M471option
Thanks for coming out and enjoying some nice weather for a change.
Thanks all for the great turnout and look forward to the next show in September. I think we will go back to a Sunday show as Saturday seems too congested with weekly events - more than Sunday's. Also i will have the option of paying at the Museum for the Sales and entry which all goes to the Museum for rental fees.
Thanks again
Dave
