914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Steepen Slope of A Pillar

Posted by: roblav1 Feb 23 2019, 10:08 PM

My A pillars need some welding, and I'm debating an increase in the slope... increase the cant while retaining the stock windshield. I'd like to have the top rear of the windshield frame be at the same height as the front of the rollhoop. And then weld in a steel roof from the rear edge of the windshield directly to the front leading edge of the roll hoop. Has anyone done this sort of thing?

Thanks Beebo... nice subtle fender flare job too. Built for less frontal area.

that is sharp, I like it without the wing window.

I'm guessing no door glass at all due to "race car" smile.gif

Is it a street car? Side windows are affected with this mod.

The guy I got my motor from (Harry) doesn't run door windows due to trying to make his car as light as possible and it is driven on the street mostly.

I drove it once, got a little windy inside as we approached the century mark smile.gif

On the east coast, it's not always warm and sunny.

There is this Black 6 conversion.
It was at WCR2011 in Medford, it won COTM a while back and I think it's for sale at Canapa.
