914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Nice compromise between Narrow Body and GT

Kinda looks like Brutus but less menacing and more elegant (aside from the interior).

They can’t all be original... sheesh, I’d take it in a heartbeat... get rid of all that red interior though....

I was on board with it until I saw the interior.

Oh that red.....

There is a lot to dislike about this build.

I'll keep my opinions to myself.

If you look at the early factory racing pictures of the 914-6 you will find they had this type of fender flare. The boxy flares did not come on board until later.

Posted by: Steve Mar 8 2019, 08:24 AM

Sorry.. but round flairs do not look right on a square car. Also not a fan of the red interior. Otherwise, nice looking car.

Man, this place is turning into the 356 registry.

These kind of flares were the shit during the early and mid 2000s.
I'd be happy to own that and drive the hell out of it.

In the 80's and 90's people used the VW Rabbit flares too.

I can ask. Both of my 914s are at Eurotech right now. I'm sure I saw this car in the shop when during a prior visit.

Posted by: pploco Mar 8 2019, 02:52 PM

I really like the subtle flares and exterior red color on all-black accents. I don't mind the red interior either. But, I'm one of the deplorables currently in the process of subaru sti-defying my '73 so....
