Come celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Introduction of the Porsche 914 September 12-15, 2019 in Banner Elk, NC.
REGISTRATION CLOSED
What better way to celebrate than with over 100 fellow 914 enthusiasts for a weekend of driving, showing and socializing! So finish up that project, dust off the garage queen, trailer that race car or hop in your daily driver and head to the mountains of Western North Carolina for a weekend you will not soon forget.
The fun begins Thursday afternoon with event check-in. Watch and be amazed as fellow teeners arrive and the parking area fills up with a kaleidoscope of colors.
Friday begins early with the “main event” - a drive on the area's fantastic mountain roads. With planned rest and lunch stops along the way, the daylong drive is a 914 lover's utopia.
After the drive, attendees have Friday evening free to do as they wish. Many will gather to eat dinner and then later hang out and socialize. Informal swap meets generally pop up about this time so bring parts or cash.
Saturday begins with a People's Choice Car Show followed by a “free” afternoon. During the afternoon, the event promoters will be busy preparing for the evening's Awards Banquet where upwards of $10k worth of “goodies” are given out thanks to our generous sponsors.
Sunday begins with the sound of 914s rambling out of the parking lot as the event ends and attendees head home.
Throughout the weekend there will be scheduled “clinics” demonstrating how to perform a variety of maintenance and upgrade projects. Also, a 914 Tech Quiz is generally given towards the end of the Car Show.

for such an event as the 50th we should be able to round up 200 914s to attend. Many of us will not be around for the 75th. Every east coast 914 guy should make an effort to attend this historic event.

Looking forward to another great event and this time celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 914!

No need to limit it to east coast teeners. We have quite a few folks who travel from west of the Mississippi to attend.

So, what is the challenge this year George?
1.) The "Import Car of the Year" for 75 cars attending 2.) The M471 car for 100 cars attending 3.) The 916 for 150 4.) All three for 200 cars attending

You and Clay were great tour guides last year. I might take a more northern route but if I decide to go thru Texas I’ll plan to hook up with you guys. The exploding trans was not bad as I was in front of you, it might have been a mess behind you when the fluid dumped on your exhaust. Looking forward to seeing you guys again

It looks like our paths will cross in Little Rock AR on the way to Banner Elk? Whoever goes through there last can pick up the pieces of whoever is running in front of them.
Betty will be driving Frody (400K mile Orange car)
I am planning on Igor (4.0 L) being there.

Betty insisted I post this, and it gives a free to the thread.
Last night I had a dream. No, not the one from last Okteenerfest with Bob and Bill in Lederhosen and tu-tus. This is completely different.
I was trying to get the 914s out of the garage so we could leave for Okteenerfest. But my garage had grown until it was huge! And I couldn't get to the 914s because I was trying to get all the camels out of the way. They just kept walking around saying "Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike" like the camel in the Geico hump day commercial. I just couldn't get through them all to get to the cars!
Yea, I know I have an overactive, weird imagination that creeps into my dreams. But at least my dreams are entertaining. Betty's all time favorite is the one about the old, toothless shark attacking me and gumming my legs. I woke up with the blanket wrapped around my legs.
And the first person to come up to me and say "Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike" is gonna get it!!!!

As always, Okteenerfest appreciates the support from businesses and the people behind them who support the Porsche 914. Below are the businesses directly supporting Okteenerfest with cash and goodies.

I wanted to throw this out there to all that are planning to trailer your car... An email will be sent out prior to the event with details, but we have VERY limited trailer parking. If you trailered to Banner Elk before, you know we have to use the grassy area behind the parking lot. This year...hopefully...we will be a bit more organized about it and have people access the area via the side road and not through the parking lot. We will once again have 914 parking only in the back and side lots.
According to registrations, we have over 15 trailers we have to figure out SO FAR. We'll make it work, but just be prepared that you may not have an 'optimum' trailer parking spot and things may get a little tight.... so if you can... PLEASE drive instead of trailering.

i was considering trailering like last year but, its such a great drive from Charlotte to Banner Elk, but too hot from there to here in SC so I am considering taking it up early and leaving it at my sons house in Charlotte a few weeks before, then we can come up that Thursday and leave the truck/trailer in Charlotte and drive the 914 the rest of the way!. Gets some great driving in still on the way up!

Is everyone staying at the Best Western in Banner Elk? My wife and I have done air b&b in the past for trips. Are there a lot of events happening at the Best Western that it would be worth staying there or would an air b&b close by be fine?

Best Western is the host hotel and where everything happens: registration, dinner/banquet, the door prize display of items, Friday drivers meeting and where the drive starts from, wash station for the cars...and just the general gatherings each day/night to hang out and lie about our cars... a big part of Okteenerfest is the comraderie of the people so just hanging with everyone each night IMO is one of the best parts...(and not worrying about drinking and driving)

Kennedy RPM Flags is making this special deal for attendees to show their support for the 914. So this is an additional bonus for attending!

I am sure all of us know Tangerine Racing and Chris Foley. Every part Chris makes is top notch and that is the reason I have so many of his parts on my car.
As a prose this year, Chris will be providing one of his amazing engine lift plates, an Oil Pressure Relief Valve, and a $120 gift certificate for the event.
Also we will be featuring the installation of the oil pressure relief valve in a tech session. Chris is offering a 10% discount on the oil pressure relief valve for attendees.

You need to call 1) to get the special rate and 2) because our block takes up a majority of the hotel it won’t let people book online because the rooms are blocked off. There are still a few rooms left as of last week.

I may be the first casualty of Okteenerfest. My wife has just been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and will start radiation/chemo immediately and probably won't finish until early September...then surgery. Way too many unknowns for me to be away from her so I'm out. I have 2 rooms booked which I will cancel over the next couple days. I understand if there are no refunds and if that's the case can someone mail my t-shirt? I will, however, try to drive my car on 9/14. Maybe next year. Have fun and stay safe.
AND DON'T PUT OFF GETTING A COLONOSCOPY!!!

There are a bunch of people that have hotel rooms and have NOT registered yet. PLEASE...do not book a room until after you registered. Reserving yourself a room under the block because you THINK you might come, then cancelling the room after the special rate date is pretty rude to those that genuinely need the room because they are actually coming.
This happened last year in Helen - people booked rooms, never registered, then cancelled the room after some people that couldnt get a room already decided not to come. And when those rooms opened up at the last minute, the rates were now MUCH higher than our negotiated rate was.
Again...PLEASE do not book a room unless you are definitely coming. (I understand last minute changes in plans and all that you need to cancel... but at least register and send payment if you're actually planning to be there).

OK so we have some great sponsors! Tarett is one of the best.
Anyone need a front https://www.tarett.com/items/914-products/914-suspension/914-swaybars~drop-links/front-swaybar-assy-65-89-911-912-930-914-fsba_-detail.htm?
With the quality of Tarett it is hard to completely give away this $525 setup but Ira is offering one at a 30% discount. Also, swaybar installation will be one of the tech sessions this year!
So for those of you willing to buy the swaybar at a 30% discount, sign up for the tech session to have it installed while you are at Okteenerfest! Because of the limited time at the event the best option would be for a people that have a swaybar currently to sign up for install portion. But we won't limit peoples ability to sign up but if you don't currently have a swaybar installed you can still get the 30% off but the install will passed to someone else that committed to buying.
If you don't win the tech Session install, Ira has committed to offering discounts for anyone else that wants to make a purchase.
So talk to all of your friend and see if we can get enough people to buy so that you can get the following discounts
10% of for 1 to 5 kits sold 20% for for 5 or more kits
Oh and Ira will ship all of them to Okteenerfest so you wont have to pay shipping!
For full disclosure, I committed to Tarett to buy the tech session swaybar at the discount. I did this so if no one else commits to the 30% price, we will still have the tech session. If someone else will buy the swaybar, I will pay for one at the discount Tarett has offered.

Bob, sorry for registering for the hotel, ahead the event registration. I thought the hotel block expired before the event registration, but I could not find those dates on the website or in this thread, I must have missed them. (Edit- Block of rooms are released Aug 12th, it is in the Okteenerfest email)
Either way, registered for both, and check is in the mail. Thanks to all for coordinating!

Ron Thomas and Tucker at https://www.aasesales.com/ Sales are some fantastic supporters of the 914 and all classic and modern Porsches. I have called them with some of the strangest requests for parts and they have always come through.
They also come through in showing their support for Okteenerfest. Last year their prize packages were the most sought-after prizes for the event. This year will be no different!
Bag #1: -AASE Notepad & 2 Pens -‘PORSCHE’ shop towel -‘PORSCHE’ car sponge set -Small bottle of speed-shine -Extra soft microfiber show-car cloth -Two each different, cool decorative-stylized crests -One each different, cool key fob -$100.00 gift-card to AASE

Was just by chance looking over the install instructions. I love detailed diagrams because if someone puts this much effort into installation instructions, you know the parts are going to be top notch!

You all know https://vintagecarleds.com/shop/7-inch/vcm3-7-inch-led-headlight-kit/ provides quality lighting solutions for many vintage cars. This year they are introducing a smaller more compact solution to converting the 914 to modern LED technology.
We all do performance modifications to our cars but this in one that will pay back many times in increased safety and visibility.
Not only is Matt and https://vintagecarleds.com/shop/7-inch/vcm3-7-inch-led-headlight-kit/ providing a set for the prize drawing, they are sending another set for the tech session where they will be personally attending to answer all of your questions! PM me to get entered to have the LED headlights installed in your car. There will also be some additional goodies for the lucky winner.
As if that is not amazing enough, they are also providing a 15% discount on purchases as an Okteenerfest special. It will be hard to match this discount so if you are considering going to LEDs go to https://vintagecarleds.com/shop/7-inch/vcm3-7-inch-led-headlight-kit/ and use code OKTEENERFEST15 to get a 15% discount.
Even if you are coming to the event and entering to win the tech session, go to Vintage LED and buy. If you win, I am sure there will be multiple people who will be glad to take them off your hands.
This is an amazing show of support for the 914. Thanks Matt!

I think we all know Ben of https://914-6werkshop.com/ makes great products and does some amazing stuff. Anyone doing a six conversion or has missing engine sheet metal 914-6 WerkShop has you covered.
If you coming to Okteenerfest it gets even better. Ben is sending a complete set of https://914-6werkshop.com/product/914-6-engine-sheet-metal/for some lucky attendee!
He is also sending some discount cards and while not quite ready for the website, Ben is also expanding out to make 914 mufflers! They are similar to the OEM 911 mufflers internally, so they flow nicely.
They retail for $850 but for Okteenerfest attendees and 914 world members he is offering a considerably discounted price of $700 plus shipping. We are working with Ben to get some photos and will get them up as soon as we can!

A usual http://www.restoration-design.com/ is helping out!
Peter is going to be providing samples of their new alternator harness and engine regulator harness for demonstration and possible installation. He is also planning some other goodies that we don't know the details on yet.
But he is also going to continue the http://www.restoration-design.com/store/product/PP336S Discount he provided last year. The 20% discount on the springs brings the price of a set to $49.60!
PM me for payment details and specify early or late. I will bring the spring to Okteenerfest for everyone that makes the purchase.

Wow this is really cool. Doug Leehr is providing some really awesome set of aluminum rocker panels.
These are made out of 1/16” aluminum and weigh a fraction of a steel set but have much better corrosion resistance. While they will come with mounting hardware, winner will have to paint to their preference.
Rumor has it he will have a few sets to sell at the event as well.
He is also sending a kit to block off the front bumper shock holes for those that backdate bumpers. It will have both plates, gaskets, and mounting hardware.

Also the Good Dr. Evil will be hosting a Tech session to explain how to rebuild the 901 transmission in under 1-hour and for zero dollars!
Well not really, but he will be making a presentation and having a transmission Q&A session right before the Awards dinner.
What do people want covered? It looks like I have an hour to kill? Can bring pics, some parts and displays, answer questions on failure points, why/where, theory of operation, etc. If I get some feed back from yall, I can better plan/pack/use time.
For me during the build clinic I gained a lot of information when you reviewed the things that typically fail and those that don't so that would be useful. Also the cost of some of the bearings are very high so it is good to know which ones you are likely to have to replace.
Explain stock gearing, modifications that can be made, and in what application does it make sense. Everyone I know seems to think the 914 needs a taller 5th gear so the engine will only be at 2,000 RPM while cruising on the highway which is a bad idea.
Address what HP a stock 901 can handle and improvements that can be made to deal with higher HP.
Bring a stack for people to see and look at gears.
Address pros/cons of LSD and what options are available.
Side shift vs tail shift and converting tail to side.
Resolve the controversy of dino oil vs synthetic.

"Resolve the controversy of dino oil vs synthetic."
Oh sure, while Im at it I will negotiate a peace treaty in the middle east and join the two political parties here at home Ill do my best
Good stuff. I have a cut away case I can bring and let people touch all over. As for diagnostics, I can go over how things function and that naturally leads into how they dysfunction. Also, people are welcome to hit me up for advice and BS about trans stuff while Im walking around.
Mainly, depends on how big a room, how many people, seated or standing, etc. We will try for video and I cam put video up on a screen or something if a big room. Hell, I have a 120" screen and projector of my own if need be. Just dont have camera.

Looking at going to Okteenerfest again this year. Went last year and had a great time and gained a lot of inspiration.
Wife cannot attend with me. Host hotel is filled. Wondering if anyone may be looking to split a room and defray some of the lodging costs? Anyone need a roommate?
This is a very generous community as I've learned by reading these posts. However, sharing a room with an unknown is a bit Weird so I do understand.
Thanks for considering.

Numbers have increased every year and, since the first event in 2013, this event has TRIPLED in size! This year we welcome 40+ newcomers to Okteenerfest.

Mine has been flawless after the rebuild!
I took full advantage of the good Doc back in 2015, i do believe. He straightened out my tranz. Thanks for the coupon, sorry for the trouble..... But FYI the tranz has over 40K miles on it since you cracked it open.
Good luck to the winner of this great gift.

Registration for Okteenerfest 2019 is now officially closed. Including a last minute registration (a new 914 owner from Georgia), there are 154 people signed up to attend.
This event has grown from 40+ people and just over 2 dozen 914s in 2013 to this year's record setting 154 attendees. And, though 15 914s will be left at home, 79 will attempt to make it to Okteenerfest... 22 being trailered and 57 being driven to the event!
The next couple of weeks are going to be crazy for many of us as we make the mad dash to prep our 914s for this special weekend. See you all in September!

Yes.. it will be running at Okteenerfest. Lots of things won't be perfect, but it will be there.
I was thinking about bringing some ramps to put the back end up in the air so everyone can see underneath.

NaroEscape Motorsports is offering our 914-6 Conversion Engine Mount at $100 off the normal price for Okteenerfest attendees and must be purchased at Okteenerfest. This is your chance if you have a project now or upcoming to pick up our mount at a greatly reduced price. I'll have a few with me but if you know you're going to want one, message me so I'll hold one for you.
We'll also be offering a coupon code to attendees for 10% off anything we carry.
Had a customer that will be at this event ask if they can just drop their transmission off with me at the event. What a great idea! If anyone wants to save on one way shipping, feel free to drop off your gear boxes to me. I am bring a truck. Already have a bunch of cores that Garold is bringing that I bought.

I would like to propose a HUGE ceremonial box of Band-Aids be given at the Saturday awards banquet to: "The Person With The Most Injuries To Their Body, Received As A Result Of Thrashing Their Car Until The Very Last Minute Trying To Get It To Okteenerfest 2019".
(The thoughts that come to you, standing in the pharmacy, in the aisle with all of the First Aid stuff, holding a big ol' box of Band-Aids, thinking to yourself "maybe I should get two?")
I'll even supply the box of 'Ceremonial Band-Aids' to be given away... we seem to have more than one of them.

You want to talk about fixed?! Clay was saying the other day there should be an award at Okteenerfest for the 914 with the most spark plugs (his new engine is a twin plug with a grand total of 12). Whoever brought this last year please note** I would gladly compensate you for a bottle or two of the 914 Bourbon!! Please Lmk if you are coming and can bring extra!
I currently have 2 bottles, I'll reserve one for you, the other can be "open" for discussion

Well... I'm sure that the 914 isn't making it (currently at Translog getting the engine compartment painted, etc.) and the 993 is stuck in the shop having an AC repair completed and was getting an alignment before the 15+ hour drive (round trip to/from Baltimore/Banner Elk) but needs some rear upper control arms so I doubt it'll be ready by next Wednesday to drive down... so, looks like I'll just be driving down the daily driver (2014 VW Tiguan R-Line). Anyone need anything? Air Compressor? Floor jack? Air tank? I'll have plenty of room to haul crap down now... LOL. Still excited about coming... just wont have a Porsche with me this year.
In the meantime, here's some pics of what I wont be bringing... haha

Which of the local hotels is the best choice ? It seems like comparing 914s to 911s!!
I've never been to that area no idea of 'lay of the land'. Any help appreciated.

Getting there but might be able to give Clay a run on the band-aids.
Looks much better now!
Going to run through a check list tonight. need to pull teh trans and check flywheel play. Was tired when completed it so I just want to be sure.

One “new” item that may get into the garage before next week is my original back pad was recently recovered by a local auto interior guy. Foam is in great shape, and a month ago just a day before my heart attack episode I removed the old vinyl, with intention of recovering it myself but with having to move etc I didn’t think it would get done, so many thanks to my friend Jim that knew this guy and took it all over to get done! Now I just need to locate an OEM back pad light !
Mike , looks like you are going to make it! Praying for it to fire up and run on with out complication.

Hey, that stuff is distilled in NuYak according to the label, so it can't be called bourbon because it's not made in Kentucky! It's just common ol' whisky!

Little time with the sewing machine and I whipped up some protectors for the tie down straps going through the wheels.
When I picked up the Cayman last year I had to trailer it home and I had cut up a old blanket in to pieces to wrap around the straps so they wouldn't rub the finish on the wheels. It worked, but looked kind of shitty with the loose ends flapping in the wind.
so this morning I dug out the pieces and sewed them into tubes. Then I can slide them over the tie down straps where they hit the wheels.
Yeah I am trailering down.
Since the car doesn't need the engine pulled out or anything like that..... All it will need is a bath before we go and I am ready.
See you then.

Well there you go. 2 links about $20. I guess you will have to re-register, but just once and never again.
Here in middle TN they have a few more years of emissions testing. That is why I went Antique with my 86 VW. But I was always worried that I would get pulled over. They say, if you get a ticket, driving on a weekday, you could have to pay ever year's registration fee since you got the tag....
Another benefit of going with a 70s tag is most cops don't know it is antique. With yours, it is right there in front of them. Now get off the PC and start breaking in that new engine!

Well I got one of my 3 punch list issues taken care of- back pad recovered and last night reassembled! Should get this in car tonight! - this was a 914rubber.com kit, with my original backpad and foam.
- so btw I may be selling my other back pad- it’s the fiberglass ones that have a 1/8”foam and wrapped with sport vinyl, perfect for someone that wants a backpad that does not stick out as far as a standard one, say if you use some type or racing seat like Sheels etc. my car had 911/993 seat in it at one time and the seats could go all the way back - PM anyone if interested- that one is also black.

We hope to see ~70 of these 914s at Okteenerfest

I bet if he can get a tow to the event we could get the parts from someone and fix it in the parking lot. Just like old times

Looks like a couple of us have had mechanical problems. I had to go to Virginia for work before coming to Okteenerfest. So, rather than be Porscheless I drove the Boxster. Was 10 minutes from the hotel in Banner Elk and lost the Boxster engine. Probably IMS.
Much thanks to DrPhil and his friend Jim. They were about an hour behind me. When he got to my location Phil unloaded his 914 from the trailer and gave me a ride to Enterprise so I could rent a car (made it 7 minutes before closing). In the meantime Jim stayed with my Boxster until AAA showed up. I got back to the car just as he finished loading it on the flatbed.
Oh well..... crap happens! At least I made it this year even if it is in a rented Kia!

My first Octeenerfest was in a rental car but I passengered in Bob's/Saigon car and had a great time. Glad the engine issue didn't get too messy.

Getting an early start...heading out the door...Vermont, then North Carolina.
14 1/2 hour ordeal today, but I'm home. Just under 3950 miles, St. Louis to Vermont to North Carolina to St. Louis. Hope my back recovers soon.

My issue turned out to be the fuel pump. Got hot in the Atlanta traffic Thursday afternoon (98 degrees plus bad traffic) and the pressure dropped, causing the rise in AFR and the rough running. Glad I turned around and headed home though we hate that we missed Okteenerfest this year.

I did not see a photo uploader for this. Did I miss it?
As usual, the event staff did an awesome job. Tremendous....
Thanks to all involved,

So Okteenerfest 2019 was a phenomenal success and a great time was had by all! I believe we had 60 cars there, Bob and the gang will need to confirm, and over 150 people in attendance. We gave out over 150+ prizes as part of the raffle drawings and we added in a trivia quiz this year that was spur of the moment but made for some lively entertainment.
Much thanks to all our sponsors for supporting this event and providing so many prizes and even more thanks to all those who attended. I will echo what Bob said on Saturday night, without you all, there would be no gathering of truly wonderful and people who all love a unique and often maligned little car. The 914 may have been the bastard child of Porsche and Volkswagen but the people who cherish this rather sexy illegitimate child continue to impress and amaze me every year at this event.
I belong to many automotive clubs from Mercedes to MGs to the Antique Automobile Club of America and although each have their quirks and personalities, the people who own 914s are by far my favorite! It is a community with a wealth of humor, mirth and giving who always step up to help others in need and never put on airs.
I hope to see you all again next year and lets see if we can break the record of cars and participants!

I agree. I dropped my Ferrari club membership after some bad experiences and the last couple PCA events I attended were more “conspicuous consumption “ orgies than car events. The best events I attend are Okteenerfest and Corvair meets. Maybe it’s because these cars were unloved for so long the owners developed a passion for the car regardless of what others thought? I don’t know.
What I do know is that the people who attend Okteenerfest (and Corvair) events are some of the most generous and down to earth people I have met....anywhere.

You flatter me, Tom. It was great to be with my people again, it had been too long. It’s true, 914 people are different in a great way

Just an FYI, a couple of weeks before Okteenerfest, I reached out to Mike Blizzard and obtained a copy of the Sponsor Letter for Okteenerfest. With that in hand and being a 30+ year member of PCA, I contacted Vu Nguyen, PCA president. I had already reached out to Ezra Jones at PCNA directly (he was the PCNA representative that hosted the 914 event at the Atlanta Experience Center) to make him aware of Okteenerfest and 914World in general.
I contacted Vu via email and then spoke with him by phone and asked that he help me make contact with the person at PCNA in Atlanta with the following objectives: 1) make them aware of Okteenerfest, 2) let them know that there would likely be a large turnout at Okteenerfest (and there was compared to the 10 914s that showed up at the PCNA event), and 3) try to get some support from PCA or PCNA for Okteenerfest (either in the form of cash support or any door prize or memorabilia items that they might already have in the works for the Atlanta event).
Vu was not aware of Okteenerfest but he at least knows about it now. He said that he would try to reach out to someone at PCNA but I never heard back and my follow up call from the week before Okteenerfest was not returned.
I believe it would be worth a follow up to Vu for support of Okteenerfest next year. I can continue to work this if Bob and Mike are okay with me doing this.....I'm certainly willing to help if I can.

Ummm..... hello?! How about formal invitations issued (well before the actual event so they could really have a chance to schedule it) to Vu and to Manny Alban (past PCA President and also a hard core 914 guy - he's ridden around COTA in my car) to attend Okteenerfest next year? I would be happy to pay for one of their entry fees in the spirit of "Let's show you what 914 people really represent...".

Per request from Clay, the 914 Special Interest Group discussion has been split into it's own thread.
I emailed John and was respectful in my wording. But regardless of the reasoning, those on the outside can only see this as a very exclusionary action by PCA. I know there will be lots of “reasons” that explain what it’s not, but the simple reality is there is no other way for 914 owners to take this.
As a well funded organization PCA should be smart enough to know that. Regardless of reasons for the action there was clearly a million better ways to go about it.
We will wait to see how they respond. Not quite to canceling my membership but getting close.

I called the PCA and emailed and left multiple messages for Vu and his assistant, and I never had one of those responded to- and this was back when we first knew the PCNA was doing thie 914 thing on 9/14. And I know HE KNEW about Okteenerfest if he told you he didn't know he is lying........ they don't give a shit if you cancel your membership I think because I told them that multiple times , that if I received no call back or email that's whats happening. The only thing that has kept me from following thru with that was the contact I had with the guy that Bob Seville had us email about them dropping the 914registry, and he did respond back and forth a couple times and we discussed the Renwerks reunion coming up at Amelia Island and Ameila and Porshce having plans for display of 914's there for the 50th, and I would like to be part of that, - but if I get no response back from PCA or PCNA regarding that then my resignation from all things PCA including my local committee involvement will be done. for these things to happen right now right in the middle of the 50th is even a bigger slap in the face of all 914 owners . I have a feeling PCNA as a whole does not give a crap and apparently Vu and PCA don't either. IF YOU DO SHOW ME!!!!!!" " its not your words its your actions........ that will prove your true heart and intentions"

To be clear...PCNA is in no way associated with PCA or the 914 Register Group. PCNA is Porsche Cars North America. They are a company. They sell new cars and quite honestly make zero money off of us 914 owners (ok, I do buy my oil filters from the local dealer for the race car but...) PCA is the club, and the register groups fall under PCA.
Also...please lets keep this thread about Okteenerfest and move all 914 Register discussion to the new thread.

Sorry for the delay in getting the "as you entered" Car Show photos posted - left Banner Elk after the banquet, drove three hours home, tried to sleep a couple hours, then left for a 7:30am flight to Las Vegas to work an event. Finally getting over the long week and time change

OK, I have been lax in getting these posted but I finally got the chance to pull them off the camera. These are all the photos I took for the event. Some are better than others and I may have missed a few. Please feel free to download and use any of the pictures that are posted.

I had better pics last year but the area allowed for a bit of a better setup. We'll see what next year brings!
