For any who would like to know: Speed bleeders are AMAZING. Thanks Mikey!
Plus I'm running a 10' long clear, 1/4" vinyl hose back into the brake reservoir .
how cool is this? Crack a bleeder, watch the bubbles go by, bubbles stop, tighten bleeder. Oh yes, the brake fluid goes right back where it came from.
Only do this with brand new fluid, folks.

Shush....
You'll screw up my rep....I'm supposed to be a real dick....remember????
But seriously....Thanks...glad it worked out.....

Ebay be cheap...there's a guy running buy them now specials all the time.
Did you get your SS brake lines then? Or is this a test run of your new setup?

These?
According to his web site you need:
Part #:639570 7mm x 1.0 34m long
Not the 8 mm ones.
Yeah that's the guy....look for the caliper application and bid on the one you need.
Z! I dig the crest in the signature!! can you make stickers of that?!
Of course....
These are the Russell Speedbleeders.
Yes part #639570 is correct for all 914's front and rear.
I may have paid a bit more for mine, but I don't care.
I'm not waiting or worrying. I keep it local whenever I can.
Yes, my SS lines are here and I got the left rear one on this evening. With just one line in and bled out, the pedal is *way* firm.
Not a moment too soon either. After pumping up the pedal I noticed a dribble out of the right rear rubber line.
As for the long clear hose, perfect set-up. Zip tie the end so it stays pointed into the reservoir. After bleeding, fold over the other hose end and clamp it so you don't lose the prime and the 4 or so onces of $60 per gallon Motul.
Maybe we'll get some pics of this tomorrow afternoon.

Oh yeah, the Russel part # for the four piece brake line kit is 687650.
Very nice product with a perfect fit.
The Speed bleeders use a 8mm wrench instead of the stock 7mm.

Why is there not a part number for mid-year 911's?
Late 75-89 911 Front: 639520 Rear: -
speed bleeders are the real deal. one person brake bleeding. you'll never piss the wife off asking her to help you do the brakes again.
