Would you believe that I use JB WELD QUIK WELD to glue washers and nuts to my fingers so I can finish putting my new dash together?? With hands like catcher's mitts and impossible to use tools in those micro spaces....seems to be working. The lower dash nut holders all pop out and don't go back in very well.....so now new bolts, washers and nuts doing the job. Super glue didn't work so JB Quik really is the answer....dash is looking great....more adjustments to do with the side screws.....has anyone ever done this? All the best,
gg
This isn't something I have done on my car yet but what about gluing a small strong magnet to a glove finger tip instead?
Nuts are plastic, magnet won’t help. Get a small metric bolt that the nuts will thread on to. Grind the bolt head down until it’s very thin. Glue the bolt head to the tip of your index finger, then thread each nut on a few turns, then reach under the dash and line up the nut with the stud. A few turns on the nut with your thumb will transfer the nut off the bolt and onto the stud. Easy peasy...
I don’t know how to post video but.Really? Just make one of these . Same threads as dash studs. Rubber band turns the nut right on to the studs. Voila!!!!
Putting the newer P-car back together is just as bad, once a customer says IMS and AOS in the same sentence I just drop the engine/trans.
I can put a nut and washer on with two fingers.
