Thanks for posting. Such a good color...looks like it's gonna be a stunner.

Nice job. By the looks of your garage, you’ve had some experience.

Very nice job, and color. I'm looking for another red for my project besides Bahia. Malaga is a contender along with Colorado Red Metallic.

Thanks. I can do all the body work and prep for painting, and have shot color on a few cars successfully, but the color on this one is being done by my buddy Paul in his shop. He is MUCH better than I am with a gun.
I'll post more when the rest is cut and buffed and reassembly starts.
Paint is Limco single stage. L30C Malaga Red. The original color of the car.
Here it is with the V8, 5 lug, and early bumper conversions done and before I tore it back down for body work.

Way OT
Is that a Coupe or a pickup under the sheet ?
Great color.
My next project is Malaga.

Pickup cab. I think 37 Chevy. It's Paul's next project.
Nice flatty! I like the built in rattle can holder.

The Binks gun is ol' skool for sure. Paul (the painter) did use an HVLP when he was working as an employee in a shop, but likes the siphon guns better.
As shot single stage paint is ol' skool. Single stage after it is cut and buffed can not be told from clear coat (IMHO). Less expensive, less time to apply, fewer variables to go wrong.

When I sprayed this color I kept thinking I had bled to death whenever I saw a paint spill. Nice looking paint
