914World.com _ 914World Garage _ OT - Who's into Corvairs?

Posted by: markhoward May 26 2019, 09:46 AM

Stuck my head in Oakland Pic N Pull yesterday only to find a really nice 66 Coupe being parted. Was too nice to junk but they would not sell the car. Grabbed the engine and trans (110 hp / powerglide) along with a few other items. Just throwing it out there in case it helps someone local. Have no need for the eng and will probably resell. Ideas on value appreciated..

Don't think its a posi as turning one output shaft make the other turn in opposite direction.

A 110 power glide isn’t very sought after.
A 140 Or turbo engine with a 66, 4 speed posi can
get interesting...
I always used Turbo’s as winter cars when I put
the 914 away every year......

I am. I’ve never seen one. But I have a Corvair engine in my 914. Goes great.
