I have a 1976 that I have been repairing the windshield wiper system,. I during the reinstalling the wiper system, Air box and Fuel tank I noticed this brown ground wire in the wiring harness under the wiper system that I have not idea where it does. I have the two grounds connected to the wiper system.

Does anyone know what this ground cable connects to? From looking at it I am guessing it was not been hooked up to anything is a long time. The photo below shows the wire as it current under the air box and wiper system..

It’s for the optional wiper delay relay harness.

Thanks Jeff, I did not want to put the gas tank back in and have to removed it all again to connect this ground wire if it belonged to something I did not get connected correctly.

In the morning going to drop back in the gas tank and should be back on the road. again thanks
