Is there suppose to be a gap between the metal spacer and the rubber puck or is the spacer suppose to fit snugly?

Also, source recommendation for this part, the plug that goes into the rear trunk cross member. I think there are 2 in the trunk and 2 below. Couldn't find it on 914Rubber's site or Pelican's.

Puck gap -- it looks weird and confusing, but the gap is correct.
