My fondest and most important life experience has been raising two sons and the result of two fine young men.
Nothing else really matters to me as much.

My boy is a handful - I love him dearly and would do anything for him but I wish he could have skipped the whole 15 year-old experience. He will be 16 in August and I hope he turns the page and leaves all that BS behind and gets comfortable with who he is.

Dear Maltese Falcon,
Thanks for sharing such a great picture of your dear father. He looks like a great Pop! It is so sad when our father's have passed and such a tribute to be able to remember them, especially on Father's Day.
I too, would like to share a few precious photos I have of my father. I hope it is ok to post 4 as they are very special to me.
I am SO proud that my dad was a Purple Heart Marine (lost his left arm at the age of 18) as you can see in his military uniform picture.
But that never stopped him from doing everything he wanted to do. He was a wonderful father to 4 children. He always supported me and encouraged me to excel in whatever I did and to achieve my goals. I was so proud of my dad.....
The next photo shows me on his shoulders at the beach,......Yes, I was "daddy's little girl"! He was "the wind beneath my wings" even though he was missing one himself!
He was very patriotic and helped other veterans and their families his entire life.
I loved giving him a "slow" lap of appreciation in my 914-6 at a San Diego Region Porsche Club autocross the year before he passed. He was beaming and they were talking about him over the loud speakers during that special lap. I had tears in my eyes when we were completing the slow parade lap and everyone had come towards the car clapping their hands, giving the thumbs up in support and thanking him for his service. Dad was so touched......yes, another wonderful day to remember with my dad......
Thank you so much Dad for being such a wonderful Father..... I miss you and love you very much. Happy Father's Day!
Your Loving Daughter, Margie

Change"sons" to "daughters" and "men" to "women" and I'm right there with you
.
Happy Father's Day to all.

Growing up, my best friend was a teenage nightmare. His parents never gave up. Now he’s a world renowned neurosurgeon. Happy Father’s Day.

Hi Marty,
Thank you for your lovely comments...... all of our dads were so special to us and will always be remembered. It was great seeing you at PECLA. Really great that they had a special display for the 914s. I was amazed at how many there were and the care that their owners have dedicated to them.
Enjoyed participating in the Dana Point 914 Display.....had a good turnout of 17 914s.
Hope to see you at another meet up sometime. WCR was AWESOME!
Cheers,
Margie
