Interesting clutch actuation lever! Does it still have a pull clutch actuation like most 915s? I assume this is the original design?

914-6 with a sportomatic trans.

yes totally the original Porsche design. Pulls like the 915, just has the lever reversed or something like that

I'd be embarrassed to have a helper spring on the throttle bellcrank .

Posted by: johnhora Jun 26 2019, 01:31 PM

George.....

is the return spring stock that's on the accelerator lever

also how does this compare in shifting to the side shifter ...not the gearing but the linkage

Thanks for showing us the pics

Come on George. No response here ?
Fabulous collection.
Porsche repair shop.
914 expert
Very valuable 916
Why is that spring there ? Porsche repair shop. Loads of parts.
Three people quickly guessed what car it was.
Tell us about proper repairs. And that NAPA carburetor spring on the (new?) bellcrank.

Maybe it's this one?

Come on George.
Tell us why there is a non Porsche part on your most prized possession.
Please explain.

George please post the VIN of the green 914 that had the expert 'mishap'
at your shop. Just to be honest.

Yes, George.
You must come clean with every detail of every time one of your employees had a mishap at your shop.
In the interest of “honesty”.

It's about the car and how it's represented to the owner
or the person who buys it.

What it looks like to me is Rory and Lawrence being dicks, nothing more.

Some comments are just mean spirited when they don't have to be.

These people choose to see the bad in the bad... it’s easy, anybody can do that.

But others choose to see the good in the bad. If you look for it, you'll find it. These are the people who have joy in their life.

Life is short. Choose wisely. It will be over before you know it.

Uncalled for. There are limits...one need not resort to flying Mallets.
