I remember this one from the original Thomas Crown Affair, so cool, coming up for auction.

Never noticed the "Con-Ferr " logo on the nose ...guess I never caught a glimpse of the front of the dune buggy. Pete Condos & Frank Ferro ( Con-Ferr) built the hot rod Corvair powered buggy in their Burbank CA shop. Their claim to fame were roof racks, push bars, anything in steel for off roading the Land Cruiser, Rover, Blazer, Bronco, Jeep ...before they were called SUV's aktion035.gif
Hemmings claims that the engine might not be the one used during filming...but still a major piece of McQueen history !

I'd also call it a major piece of Meyers Manx history as well. Very cool.

If the Manx wasn't famous enough in that period...the movie def put it on the map. Bruce (Meyers) survived all of the knock-off companies and he (and company) still exist today driving.gif
