looking for details about Dave Shepard's GPR custom 914-6 to sideshift linkage rear rod
- iirc its was slightly curved & the end-or-ends cut-welded slightly re-oriented to line up the set-screws to correct position - don't recall if it was also shortened
anyone recall how it was done or have a comparative picture - or is it still available from someone else?
i had one in my car for 25 yrs - back-in-the day we did not routinely take pictures of every nut-bolt-rod we ever installed, especially in race cars (- didn't even have digital cameras)
TIA

The Patrick Motorsports kit is pretty hard to beat. It's what I used on my conversion.

So you sold your black 914-6 GT ??
Is this a for sale list ? or what's included..??
Years ago I made some for Dave. I had made a jig and did a bunch, but others started making them, and other options got developed, and the demand was not much. I've only done a couple in the past 5 years
so Perry's got the answer -
no surprise on the demand issue
- and these days VALUE is mainly in museum resto 914-6's
so a sideshift is out of the question except for -4 conversions, daily drivers (if any still exist) & racers
iirc it was a mod a handy fella could do himself from an existing rod & knowing the details would be handy for the -4 conversion crowd
or maybe Iron Hill will still produce one - at what price?
I don't have a six, but Tangerine Racing has a six option for their shift linkage kit.
