assuming you meant "passenger"...

"passenger" side is left side only for a RHD cars - such as UK, Australia, or Japan.

by automotive convention - direction (such as "left") is always referenced to the forward direction of travel. (as in - left turn...)

FWIW - in referencing VW and Porsche parts, "sided" parts (right and left...) almost invariably use an odd last main group number (before a 2-digit modifier) for the left side - the next higher even number is the same part for the right.

The exception to that rule is the engine and transmission parts on a 914. Because the engines and transmissions we use were designed for rear engined cars, the numbers on them are reversed in a 914.

Engine and trans - odd is right and even is left.

The rest of the car - odd is left and even is right.


Just one more reason these are weird little cars (owned by weird people).
