914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Another GB trunk hinge bolts (all 4) with lubrication kit

The trunk hinge bolts are under constant stress, both front and rear.

Even in the closed position there is constant spring tension. Now you can replace all 4 of these bolts inexpensively.

They typically go for @$10 each.

We even supply the lube. Aluminum copper graphite grease If you have ever had one of these break you will note a ounce of prevention is well worth avoiding the ensuing hassle.

So who's in ?

I'm interested Mark. Can you swap bolts out one at a time without removing the trunk?

The spring will need to be disconnected, but pretty sure you could do one at a time much easier.

Ok, thanks Mark. So it's probably good to have on hand a helper and a tool for spring release (e.g., like the one OC Mark was selling last year). I've got one of those.

I'd do new rollers while things are apart. Lever one side off at a time.
