914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Howard

So, I'm about the throw away an old refrigerator that has a lot of history with me and Series 9. I'm prepared to let it go, BUT there's a Howard signature in the freezer.
If any of his family (or other legitimate claim in the community) wants it, please speak up.
This is a bit tough for me. He signed it at the 2007 Atomic Ramble in New Mexico and he is sorely missed.

It says: "Let me out! , Howard"

If no legitimate claim presents, I will cut it out and frame it for posterity at S9.

The handle on the fridge will be saved.. It's the driver's door bulkhead from Liz's car. That chassis had been hit hard and I welded up the braces to pull it back straight. Good times.

What's amazing to me is that it's obvious that most of the people looking at this don't even know who I am, who Liz is, or who Howard was.

great memories, great offer......

Yeah, lots of new people around here.
I can't believe it's already 12 years since he passed.

I was there for the Atomic Ramble and signed that door; that was a real blast. I still remember the drive up Sandia Mountain

If no one wants the Howard sig, Lisa K, Will...

Jesus, 12 years?
You could try calling his old insurance company. It changed names a couple years after he passed, we still have our insurance through them.

Not sure much about his family or how they are related though.

I never met Howard, but from what I know of him, I'm honored that I got to sign the same fridge. Sad to see it go, Joe. Hope you and the fam are well, though.

The whole face should be saved and hung on the wall of a deserving garage.

I think I signed the fridge too ??? ... maybe on the side panel
Dianne and I had a great time at that event - one of the only 914 events she's attended. We took Amtrack from Lost Angeles to Albequirky with Howard, and picked up Slits and Toast in Riverside ... it was a trip (literally) and we'll cherish those mamaries memories for a long time.
BTW, I still have PMs and phone messages from Howard - never deleted them.

Being a new guy who only started with 914s in 2007 I never met Howard.
I may have signed the door at one of the Tropical Rambles.
Saving the whole door skin would be cool if practical.
