If Porsche is no longer doing C of A's, how can I find out what Serial number I am looking for?

I think in the Originality forum or one of the books for 914 you should be able to get a range of the engine number for a specific VIN, but I think that is as close as you can get.

I just read that you can get a confirm or deny from porsche if you ask "does this engine match this car?"

As of now I can do better, and provide an equivalent to the CoA, just not "official".
