Run a background search on the VINs or some pin head might take you to court.

Free! No...whoever this fellow is (he doesn't want to be named wink.gif ) he isn't dying....the city was on his ass...

All of these cars went to the crusher...accept for the six cars and parts that Mike and I were able to salvage.

Posted by: Mark Henry Jul 6 2005, 08:07 PM

Ummm...when we got there the scrap trucks were already there...we got 6 of them (and parts) in 24hrs. These were NOT rollers.

Posted by: itsa914 Jul 6 2005, 08:40 PM

I understand the sickness of having parts cars, but why did he/she/they have so many? I have a friend in my SCCA region that is a "collector" of vintage autos in need of restoration cool_shades.gif He even has a few 914 rusted POS tubs, wont sell them or part them he is going to fix them all w00t.gif smoke.gif

there is a place in south san diego (NC) that buys many. strips them out and crushes them to drive up parts prices

It's a fuzzy pic but I am guessing that is Mike, from Mike's 914s in Colborne, ON, (905) 355-2703. Mike doesn't get mentioned enough around here but anybody in Ontario and Quebec (or the north-eastern states or anywhere else in Canada for that matter), who is looking for servicing or parts on these cars, he is a great guy to deal with. Just leave him alone until he is done with my ride. cool.gif

Oh and I doubt he was wizzing on one of the cars. He loves them like we all love them. screwy.gif

Posted by: Mark Henry Jul 7 2005, 11:54 AM

Dave (balljoint) is correct...that's Mike and he's pissing with a torch.

Dave did you buy the yellow teen off of Mike?
If you did that's going to be one sweet ride. aktion035.gif

Don't know what happened to the pic's...they're all a bit fuzzy. Taking camera lessons from Andy. rolleyes.gif

Posted by: balljoint Jul 7 2005, 12:03 PM

Yup, that's mine. Thanks, I am liking it a lot so far. It was a very good solid starting point, nothing like my first car. There is nothing like getting sheeplove.gif on your first 914 purchase, to make you appreciate the value of a solid chassis. It's a big boat and there are a lot of us in it. Mike made it relatively easy to get into this car and I am freeking pumped to get it out and drive it. boldblue.gif

Posted by: Mark Henry Jul 7 2005, 12:10 PM

Think of it this way...you have a parts car smile.gif

That's a real solid tub and the hard part (body and paint) is done. Your on the right track buddy!

Better start bugging Mike to have it ready for the show! wink.gif laugh.gif

We know this shop owner, a few of the other Canadian members know who it is as well. I said that I wouldn't say his name (he's just a tad embarrassed) and I'm bound by my word.

Prototype #5 was there but when we looked at it it crumbled into rust dust. wink.gif

Fucking liberal goverments telling property owners what to do with there land is disgusting. I wish a slow death to all them busy body do gooders that fuck with folks property and what they keep on it.

Just had the city cite me for a property violation, drove around the neighborhood, and in a short time had 300 simular violations, including at a City Council members home!!!

I told code enforcement that if they didn't drop the issue with me (which came in as an anomynus complaint) I would turn in all 300 violations, and would gather a 1000 more by the end of the week. I had nieghbors willing to help me find more "violators".

Code enforcment droped my citation faster than a goose shits!

At anyrate sad to see them cars gone.

Guess that make mine all that more rare and exclusive, right????

Stop in my place if you're ever going by, I'm 15 minutes off the 115, going south the first intersection past the new 407 overpass. PM me for my contact info.

Do you own a white 914? One past me going to a Port Perry Haugen's BBQ/Volk R us VW show and I could never figure out who it was.
