Was a real pile when I got it... Still is, but less of a pile. smile.gif

Local guru rebuilt the 901 (mainshaft bearing, sliders, synchros etc etc).

Rebuilt motor is almost 2.6L of fun. Here's a pic of it:

Sweet looking engine. Hey it appears that your linkage in out of synch. might be the angle of the dangle but the right side is further from the throttle stop than the left.

That is one sanitary engine! Love it.

Thanks for the compliments guys. This car was supposed to be a quick project while my driver was being painted by my buddy (who did the 914)... But it's turned out to be much much more work.

The motor was built by Bernie Bergmann. So far so good, it started right up. I'd like to do a turbo motor in the future *drool*.

This is the car I started with:

I'm pretty sure it's a bergmann shroud. I'm not sure on the price as it came as part of the engine package, but when I get back to the garage (300 miles away) I'll check the build sheet to see if he itemized it. I think he said he sold the cooling package (shroud, fan, alternator) for around 1200-1500, but don't quote me on that.
