Why are there four holes in the engine lid? Could they be for securing an emblem?

Possibly someone added a 3rd brake light? - but I don't see a hole to run a wire....

One of mine had a canoe mount on the deck lid.

That's why they are called DAPO's.
DAPO's generally love to drill holes where there shouldn't be holes.
