914World.com _ 914World Garage _ OT...When you say your other car is a Fire Engine

Posted by: Coondog May 1 2020, 03:23 PM

I restored this 1941 Chevy Fire Engine 18 years ago. After attending to many FDNY 911 Funerals I decided to honor the responders who perished on 9-11 by putting this engine together. Look close and you will see a beer tap built into the pump panel. It also has a tailgate barbecue that plugs into the rear receiver.
Kinda dirty as I just pulled it out of storage. Had some great times using it for weddings and new business openings and sad times carrying the caskets of fellow firefighters.

Very nice! My neighbor at my old house had a (I think) 1939 fire truck that came out for parades and the like. Not as nice as yours though.
