The full targa seal set from 914Rubber just arrived. Since the 75 is being put back together (slowly but surely) I've been driving the 74 a lot because my daughter hasn't learned how to drive a stick yet.
The one thing that drives me crazy more than anything else are the squeaks and rattles of a car, any car. Hopefully this set will solve a lot of them.
Since we bought the car from @http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=21666 last year, we've done the following:
1) a replacement deck lid
2) new shocks
3) new tangerine shift linkage
4) new wheels
5) new swaybar bushings (front and rear)
6) new transmission mounts
7) new fuel pump.
8) new seat adjuster handles
Now we get to do the seals.
The car was good when we got it, now we're making it better. My daughter doesn't realize how lucky she is yet but, I figure in 10 years when she looks back on it, she'll get it.
@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=19600 - glad you are enjoying the car and nice going on the work.
She handled pretty well before, must be even better now!
Got all of the targa seals in place yesterday and today.
The top to window seals on the targa were HARD to get in place. Each side took me about 45 minutes.
The main targa seal went in fairly easy though, which I'm thankful for.
Finally, no more thuds and bumps every time you hit a pothole or speed bump.
So awesome!
Thanks @http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=3348 for making those seals and the advice given!
