914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Rear swaybar mounts - easy to install and sourcing?

Posted by: Tdskip May 26 2020, 03:13 PM

I have a couple rear swaybars that I will be installing and I don't believe my cars have the ball where the link arm mounts on them.

Any tips on installing and sourcing them?

Thanks!

Missed that when I searched - thanks Mark!

Hardest part is you have weld in the body bracket mounts.

Brad Mayeur @http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=581 sells the bracket for the body and the reinforcement plates. Everything else is from Porsche or salvage

The 75-76 body brackets were different. Some people drill holes through the trunk and nolt them in due to the diffuculity of welding upside down on a car with the drive train installed.

Thanks for the responses. Good to know about sourcing option as well.

Any downside to just drilling the trunk to mount via welding from up top? @http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=9892 I can see where that would be a lot easier.

You could plug weld from the top nothing wrong with that but would need multiple plug welds

Think four per mount would be enough?

@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=453 - I looked at your store and didn't see anything in stock? Are you hiding the good stuff? Grin.
