914World.com _ 914World Garage _ My new Zambezi green 74!

Posted by: desmomini Jul 1 2020, 09:10 PM

After several months of research and years of owning other cars, I've finally added a 914 to the mix!

Located this through the help of a friend, who saw it parked at Amelia Island's Werks Reunion back in March with a "For Sale" sign in the window. Called the number, confirmed it was still available, asked some pertinent questions, and took the plunge to head down to Jacksonville FL on Sunday with a cashiers check and a trailer.

Got it registered today and took it for a nice spin on nearby twisties...what a great car!

I like the beige interior as opposed to the black in mine

Zambezi is a great colour but I am biased

@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=23845 great car. Great color, nice wheels, already an aftermarket steeringwheel, and a brown interior ! Maybe a floormat change and you are ready to rock !
Have fun with your new car. And with the cassettetape that came with the car...hope it is the kind of music you like smile.gif

@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=23161 : his interior is not beige, he has a brown one. Beige is the lighter color interior (which I have)

very good.

don't know what current car taste is in usa, but australian streets are full of bloated silver/white/black mobile orthopaedic shoes with grey interiors. big fat towering heaps of mobile you know what.

914s in colour combos of any of the og colours with brown/beige/black interiors are vivid in a colourless world.

brown interior and green exterior is just too good.

nice car mate.

Brown, better still
my black seat covers are held together with Gorilla tape so I am going to order new covers from 914 rubber in Brown with plaid insert plus brown door card material and back pad and a brown carpet set
I think the brown or beige interior makes for a much nicer feel than black in a green car.

Stunning! So glad for you. My Zambezi/Zambesi Green has most of its original paint and you wouldn't believe the number of folks who comment (favorably) on the color. Hoowhee!!

My '73 1.7 Zambezi...one of the better colors for a 914 IMO!

I totaled my 1974 2.0 Zambezi in 1984. I just LOVE that color! Congrats. (I also had the brown interior)
