I cannot find the thread of who was offering rebuilt alternators with higher amperage ratings.
I want "mine" rebuilt, not a core.
Thanks
We have a guy who buys alts & starters from us that does exactly that. If I see him, I'll ask the price.
BTW /4 or /6 alt?
You mean like davep in the resources section?

was that what you were looking for?

The link for it was at the bottom of the 75 & 90 AMP post:

I have a 90 amp from davep. Nice clean rebuild and it really puts out the juice. I replaced the output wire to the starter with a thick (1, 2?) battery cable so all of the extra amps get to the battery.

you can always locate a Westy camper one that puts out stock 75 amps.
Reliant Electric in the city of San Francisco is the best in Bay Area. They rebuilt YOUR core.
I've had I Mercedes Diesel starter and alternator rebuilt by them as well as my Moto Guzzi Starter.
They do "specials" as a matter of course. Full teardown, replace everything, beadblast everything and paint it all up nice before returning. No matter how large or how small, by (BOSCH) units were always around $145, and that is as recent as 10 years ago.
They do all the weird stuff, huge truck starters and alternators, as well as electric motors..
Very honest and nice guys.
Brian
There is a guy in Martinez that I have used.
I can't remember the name, but I will look for his card.
