Great video Ian.
You are getting off to the right start!
I think Ian going to be really surprised when he drives this!
Very nice video, looking forward to the next one.
Which cylinders will you be using?
I'm using KB 96mm pistons and jugs...
@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=24 i can't wait to find out!
Wasn't aware KB made cylinders...
Thank you for the info.
Hmmm. You may be right. There's no KB stamping (or any stamping at all) on the jugs. They did come in the same style of box as the pistons, but I can't be sure of the manufacturer. When I called EMW, I just asked for a set of KB 96mm and cylinders.
If I remember, Jorge has his own cylinders, they are not AA. I think he as exclusivity on these.
Ill be building along Side you Ian... and Jorge is an exclusive AA distributor. In fact, he does the test and eval on their items and alot of research for them. I am finishing a 1911 build right now and so far their machine work has been spot on.
Thanks for making these videos.
Makes me want to pick up another /4 motor and slowly build it up....
Don't forget to notch the rods for the oil squatter feature per the service bulletin, an easy job.
Barefoot
I noticed that you had the heads, coated for heat shed, and the combustion chamber and valves coated, but not the piston heads.
Is there a reason for not doing it?
