Pacific Power Motor Sports, 1413 Carlback Avenue, Walnut Creek, 94596 925.937.2277. Eric Leman is the owner. He has Gabe and Mike turning wrenches.

They did PPI's on 2 911's for me recently and just last week I had my 914-6 in there for a little problem they addressed in no time at all. They are quite familiar with 914's- in fact a '73 2.0 was in there while mine was. In addition they had multiple air and water cooled Porsches too. The 3 times I have dealt with them they have been great. beerchug.gif

Eric has my Phoenix Red 914 right now. Maybe that's the one you saw. Engine rebuild plus a pretty big honey-do list of repairs. It's expensive but I want it serviced correctly.

"Pacific Power Motor Sports, 1413 Carlback Avenue, Walnut Creek, 94596 925.937.2277. Eric Leman is the owner."

I visited them today. Eric couldn't even give me a rough estimate for what was needed.

He has the personality of a dead fish. I guess he didn't get laid this morning.

Once you drop off the car you're more or less committed.

The shop was a pigsty. The only 914 there was lifted via the incorrect jack points.

The least you can do is smile & be polite. Adios Eric.

Just hoping you were able to let him know how to correctly lift a 914!

"Just hoping you were able to let him know how to correctly lift a 914!"

He said "No problems with this in over 15 years." What do I know?

Just a follow-up to this thread. I had occasion to take my 6 back to Pacific Power Motorsport for a minor issue that was ignition related and causing a mis-fire. This was different than the initial problem I had that they saw the car for.

Eric was all over it. I took my (Mom's) service cover with me and Eric really liked and used it. They have a different style they typically use. He took excellent care of my car for the week it was there and kept it parked in their spare, single garage stall- nice.

We had a delay as his tailpipe sniffer was out for maintenance. As soon as it came back they sniffed the pipe, identified the problem and corrected it and adjusted the C0 setting to where it belonged. The car runs great now and all for less than 1 hour labor. Additionally, while there, his two master mechanics, Gabe and Mike spent time talking with me about my car and how much they liked it. They always have some great cars in the shop every time I stop in.

Once again, Eric and his crew were friendly, welcoming and great guys. I give them a solid no-hesitation recommendation for Porsche service. beerchug.gif
