914World.com _ 914World Garage _ CHT tool?

Posted by: Robson51 Sep 24 2020, 01:07 PM

I'm sure a bunch of you clever guys out there have made a tool to remove the CHT sensor with the wire intact.

Rather than reinvent the wheel and waste a bunch of time, can anyone give me a picture or description of what they have done? Motor is still in the car.

TIA

Buy a cheap deep socket then hold it on your grinder.

I just slide a socket down over the wire and then use a large, flat head screwdriver to turn the socket. Works like a charm.

I use a very deep socket and curl/fold the wire into the socket. Works great.
