914World.com _ 914World Garage _ OT - Computer, Saving Pictures, HELP

OK,
what the Hell is going on?

for the last couple of days, everything I've gone to Save a photo,
my XP is trying to save the photo as a Bitmap, instead of a jpeg.

Can someone tell me what I need to do to correct this?

Thank you,

cannot tell you, but I await the answer because I have had the same problem for the last two years

hanged.gif Had this happen about a year ago,. think this was an IE (Temporary Internet files) problem --

Goto Tools -> Internet Options.
Under the General Tab, click Delete Files...

Should work,. I forget if you need to restart.

if you are in fact talking about saving pictures out of IE (you're not clear about that in your post) it could very well be that your cache is full.

that's just one of the quirks of IE ...

just delete your temporary internet files (might take longer as you can imagine biggrin.gif ) and everything's fine

have they fixed their major memory leak yet?
i stopped using firefox after i had it crash on me several times.

once it reaches about 300MB of memory usage, it just dies without warning ...
