914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Seat belt - new or restoration?

Posted by: draganc Oct 18 2020, 11:31 AM

Hello folks!

I want to renew my ‘75 original seat belts with new or
professional refurbishment.

I have searched the forum and apparently seat belt
planet has a good reputation and it works
plug-and-play on our cars.

What’s the forums take on having them refurbished?
I’m a fan of using the original hardware and have new
belts installed - like the service i.e. saftey restores
offers in MA.

Thanks for your feedback guys!

My 73 seat belts are shot. So important since we don’t have airbags or any of the safety equipment of a modern car and we sit so low. I purchased from Stoddard full kit way more money but I think I’ll be okay with that.

Do you have their p/n respectively what full kit did you buy? I didn’t find anything
under 914 parts. Thanks!

I had the metal anchors on mine replated and then sent the belts to Safety Restore to have the webbing replaced and the reel mechanism cleaned and refurbished. Very happy with the result. They look and work like new.
