914World.com _ 914World Garage _ our man carson working his magic

Posted by: dr914@autoatlanta.com Oct 21 2020, 05:16 PM

Carson our resident ex navy seal does pretty meticulous work. We are trying to preserve the patina of this 40 thousand mile illinois car that had been previously rust proofed as well as developing the typical leaking tail light bodies.

1. clean
2 apply rust conversion paint where necessary
3 touch up after blending for the correct color

looks like POR15 and rattle can respray. The problem (at least in this light is that there is a halo where it was not blended in.

POR15 just means poor way to take care of a rust issue. It just looks like a problem that was covered up.
