914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Value of 1973 2.0

I have a chance to pickup a 1973 2.0 near me for about $4,000. I may go look at it tomorrow and check for rust and the original 2.0 (and the fuel injection parts)

Could it be worth it?

Rule of thumb in buying a Porsche. Buy the BEST ONE you can afford.

I think that is high given the location. Right front fender has damage; maybe the bumper and hood as well. There looks to be a funky patch in the right wheel well. The back edge f the rear trunk lid shows signs of rust and it's probably worse than it appears. The back bumper looks good. The passenger outside handle looks funky; maybe broken? Glass looks good. The Fuch wheel's are worth $400 if straight. The right valence is bent under towards the rear. May have run over something and bottomed out. Pull the carpet behind the seats and check the floorboards. Look beneath also. Check rear of trunk floor for rust and as always the hell Hole also. beerchug.gif

It's all about condition.
Right rear corner repair with poor paint match. etc. etc.
Defrost rear window. Good color. 2.0, Best year.

Amount of rust could be a factor as to buy/walk, that is unless you are looking for a project. The rust repairs in these cars can be very time ($$) consuming
