914World.com _ 914World Garage _ washer schematic 1970 six

Closing up the area in front of the bonnet. Heater blower installed and wondering what the washer plumbing looks like. I can find nothing in my manuals with a picture of the pump, wiring and plumbing to the squirters. If someone has their gas tank out, and can get some pics to help me install correctly...the washer pump, the reservoir, the lines to the squirters and the plumbing from the spare to the pump, and power feed from the harness.
Thanks!

I thought the six had an electric pump unlike the fours spare tire pressure feed.

Hope this helps

You're correct the 914-6 has an electric washer pump like the 911 of the day.
the reservoir tank is also unique to the 914-6.

So from the picture it looks to be located (from the perspective of the cockpit) to the immediate right of the passenger side blower/diverter?

If your car is an original six there are three holes above your passengers toes
The rubber mounts are pulled through those holes.
If it is a conversion use the mount on your pump as a template
for the mounting hole pattern.
I can provide pump location diagram if you need it

How important is the return line to the reservoir? Why not just plumb the pump output to the squirters?

I found the holes thanks. My pump was looking a little long in the tooth. I disassembled it, cleaned it up, lubricated the gears in the pump, painted the pedestal and bench tested it. I need to order three more mounting teets.
