I am thinking of using a MSD-2225 fuel pump with a 2.0 that is gonna replace my 1.7. But it does not have a return valve or overflow valve. Is this a problem? Jim

Jim, I got your email but decided to answer here..

I used the MSD pump in my 912E and it failed in 2,000 miles- got loud and quit.

I used one on the dyno 4 weeks ago and it did the same thing.
Stick with Mallory for fuel pumps. Their 4060 FI is what I have made standard in my FI kits.

Jake,

Excellent!

Question - description says - All Comp Pump series fuel pumps must be used with a fuel pressure regulator.

What regulator should I use with a stock 2.0L?

Thanks,

Jim

I have used the stock pressure regulator with this pump- the 912 is running the stocker- works like a charm.

Jake,

Thanks again.

Fuel pump $150 and fuel press reg $100.

Not 100% sure I'll need to buy a fuel pump - but it is very good to know which one to buy if I do and that I can use my stock press regulator!

Jim
