When removing the three bolts, is there something on the cab side I will need to hold to remove it, or just start turning wrenches?

I say leave them alone. There's a reason they are covered with undercoat spray. Removing them isn't going to do any good. They have nothing to do with the shift linkage.

Reworking engine bay, and was going to remove it, to clean it off. or cap the mouse hole.

Bushing should pop out without removing those screws
