Rolling Stones song comes to my mind.

Bummer. I would suggest just a bottle of gloss black enamel and tape off all but that section. Then clean it with a good wax/grease removed and puddle the black enamel paint in there and let it dry and do a few coats. beerchug.gif

paint by numbers just like the frau in the propaganda video? Syringe with hypodermic needle trimmed to flat front?

Paint pen from art supply store with a very fine tip?

I think the chipped part is directly under the "S"

Black enamel just to the left of the horses front hooves. It looks like a reflection.
I couldn't see it the first time I looked. I came back about an hour later and it jumped out and just about slapped me I could see it so well.

Jeweler may be able to enamel that in nicely, Tom.

Might be worth a shot.

This might sound strange, but I work on a lot of electric guitars, & when I need to fix a chip in black paint, I often use fingernail polish. It's laquer, it's self-leveling, and it's easy to drop-fill. I don't know how well it would work on something that is out in the weather a lot, but I thought I'd mention it.

Mark,
Great suggestion filling with fingernail black polish.
My 914 came with this hidden emblem & It will never be mounted on the hood.
I'll find a special place somewhere inside the 914.
I know this is obsessive, but it was stashed by someone named Heinz or ?? at the factory. pray.gif
Tom, we are all:wacko:
