914World.com _ 914World Garage _ OT - Shopping for Wheels - Order Placed.

Posted by: VegasRacer May 21 2021, 10:58 PM

I see thousands of wheels for sale. blink.gif I am finding surprisingly few options in the sizes I need.

Can you please give me some suggestions on where to look. confused24.gif

If you want to help me spend my money. beerchug.gif
5 X 130 Porsche Bolt Pattern
Front - 19" x 8.5". ET 55
Rear - 19" x 10". ET 42
Color - Black.

*(5 or 10 spoke preferred. Patterns of 7 or 8 are not right for 5 lug wheels.
A polished lip would be nice. Lighter is always better.)

I am thinking the Hybrid Forged Vossen HF-5 might be the one.

Well, I sure know a lot more about wheels than I did a few weeks ago when I started this thread. icon22_2.gif

The HF-5's that I liked are not available in my 19" sizes with the beefy 5 X 130 pattern.
Dave, (himself a Boxster Spyder owner), agreed that 20" would be unacceptable for ride quality.

I placed an order for a custom set of the https://vossenwheels.com/ HF-2's in Gloss Gold.
Now the hard part - I have to wait 8+ weeks for them to be manufactured. popcorn[1].gif

John...the wheels are awesome, and that corrugated red siding looks like you're parked in the roadway between the SEMA (LV Conv center) buildings. Upper pic is old Route 66 of course!
Are you having Dave mount new rubber as well ?

The red building is the Petersen Auto Museum in L.A.
Correct on Route 66, near Goffs, CA.
