There are more pics of the car http://www.xmoto.org/gallery/album04.

Going by the VIN it looks like a pretty early car #751.

I was looking at this http://www.xmoto.org/albums/album04/IMG_0039.jpg of the car.

I noticed between the bumper and the front funky valance the circular series of holes are punched out.

But I thought on the early cars they aren't punched out.

I wonder what's up with that?

Or am I seeing things...? confused24.gif

on both my /6's they were, and filled with rubber plugs...

That's pretty interesting.

I wonder how much these cars vary from each other.

I've never seen rubber plugs used in the holes before.

Interesting to see how much he gets though.

The current bid is $13,100 and he lowered the reserve to $13,101. The next bid owns it. It sounds like he wants it to sell.

The ride height on this car is all messed up or maybe it's the extra large tires:

I'd say it's worth $13K if the chassis isn't rusty.

Too bad there aren't any engine, front and back trunk pics to see what's going on with the chasis and engine.

I guess he has all the missing rubber and trims pieces in boxes too.

Is it me or does the floor look bowed up on the pasenger side?

Impact or PO lifting the car in the wrong spot?

The car jack thingy seems to be sticking out pretty darn far too.

If you look at the other door there is a sizeable dent in it.

The other thingy does look a lot better, at least it's together.

Need more pics from underneath though.

Looks like the carpet has seen some water too.

Shows some promise though.

Wonder that the reserve is?

I think that's where the heater box cable goes to control the heat in the car.

Hey, thingy sold for 13,200. Wow.

Posted by: michel richard Jul 25 2005, 07:24 PM

The white one has the semi-circular brace in the font trunk, which would date it '73, believe, but the early jack in the early jack location, in the rear trunk.
Dunno what's going on.

what's that sound?

could it be...

clip, clip, clip? i donno.

i was curious about this math:
QUOTE
CAR CURRENTLY HAS 135,000 MILES ON A COMPLETE ENGINE REBUILD FROM CRANK BEARINGS OUT BY MOTOR MEISTER OF DOWNEY CA. AT 118,000.

so if it has 135k on the rebuild done at 118k, that'd make the total 253k...
