914World.com _ 914World Garage _ 1.8 and 2.0 tinware differences

Posted by: KSCarrera Aug 25 2021, 02:01 AM

I know I've seen it somewhere on here but despite numerous searches I can't find the thread/photo...

So, apologies if it's right under my nose, but can somebody post a photo, or give the dimensions, showing the location of spark plug holes on 2.0-litre head tin compared to 1.7 or 1.8? I'll need to modify mine some point soon and 2.0 tin is hard to come by over here.

Thanks.

There's a few photos of the Tin in this thread:

What color did you paint / powdercoat those tins?
I like that and was thinking something similar to brighten up the engine bay. Was thinking more of an anodized look but your silver is sharp. Black makes it very dark.

Thanks,

Great job, is it powder coated?

AND: the 1.7, 1.8 heads the plugs come in close to vertical, 2.0 heads the plugs are more horizontal

Looks like more differences than just spark plug holes.
